Dr. Bacardi Mayfield-Harris is an educational expert consultant and trainer. She serves as Regional LEA Facilitator Director for School-wide Integrated Framework for Transformation (SWIFT) Center at the University of Kansas. SWIFT is a national education center that provides academic and behavior support to promote learning and academic achievement of all students, including students with the most extensive needs.  She is responsible for leadership and targeted technical assistance to school district level offices and their local schools in the state of Mississippi and abroad. She is a teacher at heart and loves providing support to school districts and their schools with implementation of effective evidence- based practices.Her professional career of over 20 years encompasses educational service in the areas of Mathematics, Curriculum and Instruction, Assessment, Principal (Elementary, Middle and High School) Alternative School and GED Director, and Adjunct Professor for mathematics and administrative programs at the graduate level for Cambridge College. Dr. Mayfield-Harris’ education includes an undergraduate degree from Alcorn State University (Lorman, MS) in 1992 and graduate degrees from Christian Brothers University (Memphis, TN) in 2003 and Union University (Jackson, TN) in 2008, respectively. Commonly known as Dr. Harris, her career in public education has been dedicated to achieving excellence. She has a driving force and belief that educators must embrace the concept of lifelong learning and modeling. She is known for her relentless energy, enthusiasm, thoroughness, and commitment to transformational leadership and improving outcomes for all students.
