Jennifer Garcia has over twenty years of experience in education. She began her career at a residential educational program supporting individuals with intense behavioral needs. She has worked as a Program Manager of the residential facility, a para-educator, a classroom teacher, a Program Specialist for SELPA, and a behavior specialist. Currently, Jennifer provides technical assistance to the Butte County alternative education programs for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) implementation, evaluation, and sustainability. Additionally, Jennifer is a member of the state leadership team supporting the SUMS initiative (Scale-up Multi-tiered System of Support Statewide). Jennifer is passionate about implementation science, positive behavior supports, and supporting teachers and students. Jennifer holds a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Jennifer enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
