Lucy A. Vezzuto, PhD, is a Fulbright Scholar in Education and a Coordinator of Student Mental Health, Social-emotional Learning and School Climate for the Orange County Dept. of Education. She provides training and technical assistance in the prevention and early identification of student mental health issues for adults who serve youth. She is a member of the California Dept. of Education’s Student Mental Health Policy Workgroup. She conducts the Resilient Mindful Learner Project, a training on stress management, mindfulness, and resilience for educators and their students. Dr. Vezzuto received training in adult and youth stress management and mindfulness at UCLA’S Mindfulness Awareness Research Center and the UC Irvine’s Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine. She was trained at the Harvard Medical School’s Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine in their School-based Stress Management Program.
