Michael McSheehan is recognized for his engaging presentations at conferences, expertise in education leadership and implementation science, and exceptional skills in working with teams to solve challenging problems within school-wide improvement and reform efforts. Michael is owner and lead technical assistance provider at Evolve & Effect, LLC, assisting education agencies to evolve with focus and utilize teaching and learning practices that result in a positive effect for students. (Michael@EvolveAndEffect.com) For nearly twenty years, Michael has been at the Center on Inclusive Education at the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire and, for the last six years, a partner with the SWIFT Education Center at the University of Kansas, a national center advancing equity-based Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for all learners, preK-12. Michael currently works in several states around the country assisting schools, districts and state departments of education to improve education for all students, build school and district capacity to achieve equity-based inclusive education, and implement MTSS and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Michael’s interest in school and district improvement began through his work on education for learners with significant disability labels and has evolved through his collaboration with other leaders.
